Located 33km southeast of Athens, Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos) serves the Athens region. Every year, thirteen million passengers travel through Athens Airport. The Athens Airport metro is free on Sundays until 2pm. However, you need to cross a pedestrian bridge to get to the metro. Metro Line 3 will take you to the Syntagma station in about 40 minutes.
